The Startup That Forgot the Fine Print
Abhraj, a passionate founder from Delhi, launched a tech startup with his college friends. They built a great product, got their first few customers, and even had an investor interested.
But Abhiraj didn’t think he needed a lawyer. He copied a free contract from the internet for his employee agreements and investor terms. Everything seemed fine — until the investor backed out, saying the contract wasn’t valid under Singapore law.
Confused and frustrated, Abhiraj turned to Dr. Seemantani Sharma, a legal consultant working across borders. She helped him rewrite all the contracts, fixed the gaps in the paperwork, and even advised him on how to set up his company in Singapore legally and affordably.
She showed him how intellectual property could be protected early on, and how using online legal templates blindly was risky. Abhiraj now tells every startup founder he meets: “Get your legal game right — before it’s too late.”
